Final Proposal

After starting to mind map some ideas for each of the different types of video, i decided to create a music video, although i was having difficulties with a set idea. I could not think of ways my idea would wow the audience untill I was approached by a friend who suggested we worked together. I knew instantly we would be able to make an excellent music video so we sat down and set about getting an idea. Due to the fact we both like the same music, an idea came to us straight away and this is what we have decided on.

We have decided upon this song for a number of reasons, the main one being the song has no original video so we can effectively start from scratch and be as original as want which is a good thing as we both have some good ideas.
Also, we got a lot of inspiration from the bands former videos in terms of how they used performance and narrative work so we were drawn to the band anyway.
Although this wasn't one of either mine, nor my partners originial ideas, we feel it will work very well as we have started drafting up some good pre planning ideas.

Questionnaire Summary

After making a questionnaire and asking my peers to fill it out, i have summarised and evalated my findings.

All of my group are in the age category 18-25 and i have a split of 5 males to 5 females so i know that whatever results i get, will not be biased toward one gender or the other.
The favourite type of music video is narrative as "it tells a story along with the music" as one of my peers has put. Abstract was a close third behind performance as seeing the band play was important to the audience.
The favourite genre of music was "Indie-pop-rock" which I take to be a mix of the three. Some favourite bands were the Arctic Monkeys and the Killers, followed by some older bands such as the Jam and the Clash
Favourite music videos released varied from some of Beyonce's work, right back to the Killers again with TV being the most favoured way to watch a video.
